Glenn Frey is a Giant Douchebag

I am going to have to give Glen Fry a pass here because of his awesome performance in the Miami Vice episode 'Smuggler's Blues.'  If you haven't seen it, do yourself a favor and watch it.

Fry's song "You Belong to the City" in the second season premiere episode 'Prodigal Son' is pretty great in the montage it is used in, too.

Over and over, "I hated being in the band."  "Glen and Don were so mean to me."  "I was in misery!"

Then he gets kicked out and he's like, "Why would they do that?"  "It's my band!"  "They broke my heart!"

Good Lord, dude ... grow a pair!

I'm going to side with Jeffery Lebowski on this one.

Get out of my cab.

Felder is a great guitar player but he's not a lead man and he knew that or he would have tried it on his own. If you take the abuse and stay around it's tough to generate any sympathy. Battered Guitarist Syndrome?

All successful musicians are basically whiny babies.

Anyone read Don Felder's book "Heaven and Hell: My Life in the Eagles"?  What a whiney little bitch that dude was/is.

Speaking of books, has anybody read Ace Frehley's autobiography? Highly recommended. The guy is really funny without trying too hard. The way he talks sh*t on Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley doesn't come across as bitter or whiny. Just like he's stating a fact.

That's next on my list.  Just got Duff McKagan's book.  Really looking forward to getting into that one.
