Dude has zero confidence. You could see it in his face when he was still pitching here. I hope he rediscovers what made him so formidable when he was with the Padres and the first year or so with the Halos. Best of luck, Ernie.

Geez, he's like a comet........came from nowhere two years ago, was brilliant for a short spell and now has disappeared back into nowhere.

 

Some team should take a chance with him........but not us.

 

DiPoto did well on the Freiri trades -- getting him for next to nothing and then when Frieri was out of gas and worth next to nothing, got a serviceable pen depth guy, Grilli, for him.

 

Hope Frieri is able to catch on somewhere to help revive his career a bit.

 

He did pitch well for us for about a year and a half..........we got the best out of him and used up what he had.

 

he could be a pen depth guy for some AL team at this point.......I don't see him doing well in the NL. 

 

When he left San Diego (when we got him) he was just coming about his fifth ineffective appearance in a row and San Diego was about to DFA him,

i would offer him a minor league deal and see if he can work things out. I believe that it's a mental thing more than anything else, and that can possibly be fixed. Let him spend some time with our minor league coaches and see what happens.
