Anybody have a bed like this?

Recommended Posts

I'm thinking about buying this mattress from Costco.

One little problem...the extra bedframe and box spring that I have is actually a double, not a queen.  That means I have to purchase an entire new bed set if I want the mattress.  Does anyone have an all-in-one headboard, bed frame, and faux "box spring" similar to what is pictured here?

What are the pros and cons of this design when used with a foam mattress?

Better off investing money in a good mattress IMO.

We have a similar setup except instead of box springs we have two "bunky boards"  they are basically two inch thick boards that are used in place of a box spring on a bunk bed and a king sized mattress.  With our bed frame having box springs and a mattress didn't look right and made the bed very high up off the ground.

That is considered a good mattress which is why I'm interested in buying it.  Consumer Reports ranked it No. 2 in one of their studies and the customer reviews are overwhelmingly positive.

I'm trying to figure out if that all-in-one headboard, bed frame, and "box spring" is the way to go -- or if I should stick to a traditional design.
