Trumbo fooled the Dbags with his raw power.  They should have done a little more scouting though to realize he cant tell a fastball from an eephus.

Don't get the people going on about how Trumbo "sucks". Was he hugely overrated by some here? Absolutely. Did he have serious flaws in his game here? Of course. But he was still a useful player who was worthy of a starting role. Despite the cringe-worthy OBP, high strikeouts and awful defence, he had serious strengths too. Hope he gets back to him...he's better than this.

 

Given he's well on track to be non-tendered, I wonder what the prospect of bringing him back is. He's a home-town guy who didn't want to leave, would be available on the cheap and our DH isn't set in stone. Could be a good low-risk, high-reward option...and if it doesn't work out we'll still have Cron.

This. If another GM thought he was more than this after his initial success it would have been wise to move him then. I suspect only Ruben Amaro would have traded for him and given up something substantial.

ar least for me, ive been pretty vocal about cutting slack to pujols and hamilton. Its one thing when guys have pulled muscles, soreness etc. Its another when they go on the DL, get cut etc.
