Today the club placed LHP Tyler Skaggs on the 15 day DL with a left forearm strain and recalled LHP Michael Roth from Double-A Arkansas.

Judging by the optimism of Tyler and the coaching staff and it appearing not to be UCL related, hopefully this is just a minor stint and is nothing serious

Today the club placed LHP Tyler Skaggs on the 15 day DL with a left forearm strain and recalled LHP Michael Roth from Double-A Arkansas.

Hopefully that's all he'll be out. We've been pretty lucky this year as far as injuries go.

It's a good chance for Roth to show if he can duplicate his AA success of the past 2 months up here in a relief role (almost every start in the past 10 a QS).

His control though is still one potential issue (26 BBs in past 10 starts/65.1 innings, but 8 BBs in his past 2 starts over 11.2 innings).

 

Now the question is, who then goes down to AA/AAA when Wilson is activated tomorrow?

Angels LHP Tyler Skaggs said MRI confirmed flexor tendon strain but no surgery required. Fully expects to pitch again this season.

 

Glad it wasn't anything more, but to clarify that he expects to pitch again this season isn't very reassuring.
