After Richards lost game 1, people were posting that we might lose 3/4 or get swept with Santiago, Skaggs and Shoemaker going the last 3 games. Nice to see those 3 step up big time. All 3 have been a pleasant surprise

As a starter though (didn't have the BB/9 on the splits as a starter):

 

Hector Santiago 4.36 ERA, 1.364 WHIP, 8.6 K/9

Matt Shoemaker  3.90 ERA, 1.191 WHIP, 9.3 K/9

 

Edit:  and both have had about the same number of IP as a starter (Shoe w/64.2 and Santiago with 66.0)

CJ is a former all star and before his rough stretch, he yet again put up all star caliber numbers. He's the 2nd best when he's right and since he isn't right now, I'll call it the middle ground and say he's 3rd.
