CS isn't necessarily a bone-head base running play. I've seen him extend singles into doubles and take extra bases off hits. Angels have been known for base running blunders and Aybar has avoided that this season.

I went with Calhoun for both, just edging out Aybar on the player poll. But I gotta say, I'm loving what Navarro has been doing at the plate lately. No pop but if I need a key hit, I'm confident with him coming up. Cool humble dude, too.

So is it the stat that states Aybar is -.05 and Kole is -.08, yet Puig is -.04 for base running? Seems like a credible stat with Puig being the better base runner....

That's the one. I'm not sure I'd disagree with those numbers, the sample on Calhoun isn't particularly large yet. Puig is a bonehead but he is also really fast. Being half a run below average passes the sniff test.

Aybar's heads up play scoring from 2nd base on a botched pick off is the exact thing I've been talking about. He's been very successful pushing the envelope on the base paths.

I broke my own rule when I voted Pujols. I asked the question, who would I rather have up with the game on the line and the answer was Calhoun, yet I still chose Albert. The reason being it's hard to not to vote for someone who is going to hit 30 DB, 30 HR 100 RBI and likely bat around .280.

Ultimately went with Calhoun (excellent OPS and runs scored) and Aybar (great fielding at premium position and XBHs)
