Regardless of who we might play in the one gamer we''ll be at home and have a bullpen that can be effective for as long as necessary. Then you throw in the fact that we'll be the team that has Mike Trout and it's hard for me to get too worried about that game.

Despite winning 8 in a row the Rays are still 3 games below .500 and have 5 teams to leapfrog for a wildcard spot yet they still consider themselves contenders. If Beane and the A's were in this position they would surely be sellers by now. It's hard to argue one way is better than the other but it sure is nice when you can identify with a core of players to follow and watch them go for it even if everything doesn't look perfect.
