Haven't played well since the break but we are 3-3 against playoff teams.

 

Frustrating to watch the offense right now but yeah, it's good to see them at least go 3-3 vs 2 playoff teams, mostly thanks to their pitching. This offense will be good, it has been all year, so it's good to see the pitching carry the team for a bit while the bats slump

 

And don't look now, but the Astros are mounting a comeback in the 8th inning here. 9-7 now with 1 out. It was 9-2 to start the inning

I am thinking that it wasn't the ASB that slowed us down but coming out of it and having three really tough games vs. seattle.  2 walk offs.  2 went to extras.  All one run games.  I think it was a hangover from that.

Street is very vocal out there and taking command rather than being passive like Frieri. He is talking to and then congratulating Ianetta on his work behind the plate. He also never once shook off the sign and just made is best pitch.

Like him a lot.

Of course, there's some familiarity, since Iannetta caught Street in Colorado.
