Hamilton Home Runs Watch

Recommended Posts

Anybody who can do the wheeling dealing job better than Dipoto, because truly how many moves of his have worked out?

This 60-41 record has been built largely off of wins vs mediocre teams.

Well the reality is......

Aybar, Kendrick, Trout, Calhoun, Conger, Weaver, Richards and Shoemaker are from the Reagins era.

Pujols, Hamilton, Freese, Iannetta, Wilson and Santiago belong to Dipoto.

Skaggs was Reagins at one point and brought back by Dipoto.

The bullpen is Dipoto and the farm is still bare.

So you are okay with anybody replacing Dipoto, since there is no way to know before hand if this new person's wheeling and dealing will be any better?

HamilWhiffATon and his awesome TWO HRs since early June

You sure can pick them Dipoto, why don't you stick to running a farm system and let a REAL GM take over?

And yet, we're in second place with a good chance to make the playoffs and go far.

And all those people you mentioned that were from the Reagins era were in the system (except for Trout) before Reagins.  And, Dipoto didn't trade any of them.

But yeah, Dipoto suddenly sucks again because the team is in a bit of a funk.

It's great to have you back AO. I've missed this kind of over-reaction to us going 3-4 in a seven game stretch. You know a seven game stretch against good teams where the biggest loss was by two runs. You've been a fan long enough to understand the ebb and flow of a season, but carry on with your doomsday prophesies.

@Alden_Gonzalez: Hamilton, on the trademark power he's hardly displayed this year: "It's still there. ... It hasn't gone anywhere." http://t.co/WcCZxyrLFh

"It's still there," Hamilton said of the prodigious power that once made him one of the game's most feared hitters. "In batting practice, early BP, it's there. It hasn't gone anywhere. I'm just trying to get it to translate to the game. But the worst thing you can do is try to do it in the game, try to create it."

Batting practice power?? Lol

Jeff Mathis and Brandon wood BP power. Sweet!

Torii Hunter 1.5 seasons in Detroit .293 / 31hrs / 144rbi's

Josh Hamilton 1.5 seasons in Anaheim .261 / 26hrs / 108rbi's

Lesson learned.

Damn. Didn't think someone could be more disappointing than Pujols has.

He's accumulated a 3.1 WAR in that time.

Basically taken Hamilton 1.5 years to accumulate what Trout routinely does in 1.5 months.

Yeah it is. Torii has been pretty ordinary this year, he should strictly be a DH now because his glove is so bad and it's not like he's hitting the cover off the ball.

Not only that but we dodged a bullet on Torii's spectacularly expensive contract which still has 3+ years remaining.

You realize there are outfielders who aren't Hunter and Hamilton? Both can be bad options (and were) Edited by Oz27
