Sit Hamilton against LHP ???

I root for Josh more than anyone. He's a sitting target against breaking balls. That's all u have to throw him.  He looks lost and has seen his better days I'm afraid.

He's hitting .333 vs LHP this season with a .903 OPS.

You can tell how easy an out he'll be after the 1st pitch. I don't think I've seen an AB of his in which he's been thrown 3 pitches in the strike zone.

Yea, then we can start Grant Green at DH, that will make us a better team. Or perhaps call up Cron, who was absolutely on fire when he was sent down.

Before he got hurt I support Hamilton and Cowgill splitting playing time, not as a straight platoon but more as one or the other coming in as a pinch runner / pinch hitter mid game. The thought there was more about keeping Calhoun in the game 100% of the time though. We don't have replacements that are significantly better than Hamilton at the moment though.

The calling for Hamilton to be benched v LHP, which seems to be gathering significant steam, makes no sense at all. Look at his numbers. Last year when he was a liability v LHP it would have been the right thing to do. But there's no logical argument to support it right now.
