Loved him as Rockford and Maverick.  "Support your Local Gunfighter/Sheriff" are a couple of my favorites..

 

My Pops used to watch "Rockford Files" religiously when he was starting-up his private investigator business; that's how I got hooked.

Also the Great Escape was a good movie.

 

Didn't realize how many movies he made.

Only thing i know about rockford files is from high fidelity:

As a kid, that was the coolest thing.

RIP. The polaroid commercials were classics. I watched some of the Rockford files he was a good actor.

In 2004, Garner starred in the movie version of Nicholas Sparks' The Notebook alongside Gena Rowlands as his wife (portrayed in flashbacks by Rachel McAdams, while the younger version of Garner's character was played by Ryan Gosling), directed by Nick Cassavetes, Rowlands' son. The Screen Actors Guild nominated Garner as best actor for "Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role."

 

 

Good movie.
