I'll never understand why people throw out the "Cy insert pitcher" thing when talking about really good pitchers.

That's a "teehee i'm so hilarious" thing that some people do when a POS pitcher dominates their team.

Iwakuma finished 3rd last year in Cy Young voting, and is getting back to form now after being gone for most of the 2014 season.

He's kind of good.

It's more a reference to a couple years ago. He hadn't really made a name for himself yet and shut the Angels out a couple times.

Mariners rearranged their pitching rotation to make sure Felix was available for this series. It also cost them by losing 3 of 4 to the Twins last week.

Wow, sure thought Trout got more of that than he actually did.

 

I'm usually against the aggressive approach but I think the Halos need to be swinging early in the count against Iwakuma. The guy doesn't walk hitters and they need to get to his fastball early. Once he gets 2 strikes, he gets them with his splitter

No we re-arranged our pitching to face Oakland ... and we took 2 out of 3 from them ....

 

With the all-star break ... Felix would have pitched this series anyway ....
