The one-two punch of Calhoun and Trout is the best thing this team has had in a while.  Amazing how we went from struggling for runs in the first month to where we are now.

Yep. Reminds me of 2009 when the offense had Figgins/Abreu at the top of the order setting the tone. This version has much more pop than Figgins/Abreu,but the common theme is both get on base at an excellent clip

 

this lineup is just really deep. I think Mike likes batting Cron 7th/8th so he can act as sort of another cleanup hitter at the bottom of the lineup, driving in Aybar/Kendrick when they get on base. Iannetta batting 9th with his .380+ OBP% gives them sort of another leadoff hitter at the end of the lineup to set up the aforementioned Calhoun/Trout combo
