This is what will probably happen

The Angels will get one of the two wild card spots. We're 4.5 games ahead of Seattle and six games in front of their nearest pursuer, Kansas City. So, we've got a six game cushion right now in the wild card race.

Seattle will get the other wild card, and we'll face off against Felix Hernandez in a one-game playoff to see who moves on. Hopefully, we'll have a better record than the Mariners and get to play the game in Anaheim, where we've been brilliant this year.

If we win, we'll face Oakland in the first round of the divisional series, assuming they maintain their league-best record. Wild card teams can play against teams in their division under the new format. The A's will host Games 1, 2, and (if necessary) Game 5.

Just looking ahead at a very possible scenario...
