If this lead holds up, he's got a pretty impressive streak going on. I say, don't let him post anywhere else, and he can only come into the GD thread once to do his thing.

Did he do it last night? No? Guess who lost last night.

This is completely wrong.

He obviously has psychological attention hoor issues.

So he needs to be punished.

Does it still count when he almost immediately deletes his post? We may need some official self banning rules.

Of course it does.  It even makes it worse.

Who's administering the spankings?

AO should just come back under the moniker of some poster we haven't seen on the board for a few years.  Just to force the old poster out of retirement.

What are we going to do about this?  Was he given a pardon?  I saw his weasel-ey butt on the GDT today.

If you want to be an attention whore and mess with self bans, you need to pay the price.

Agreed. If he wants to avoid a ban he should have the common sense to disguise his IP address by using a VPN then register a new user name ... not that I'd know anything about that.

AO keeps doing a "double or nothing self ban" every time the Angels have fallen behind in a game.

Because the Angels have been coming back anytime he's made these bets, his ban was at a season high of something like 64 or 66 games.

During todays GDT when the angels fell behind 6-3 he posted a new double or nothing of "132 game self ban if they somehow comeback and win".

The halo is lit and the ban is now in triple digits.

There needs to be a betting limit of something like 100 games. That way next time Angels are behind the most he can do is elect to add (or subtract) 100 games from his sentence, but not eventually eliminate it entirely by doubling down every time without limit.

For those out of the loop, when did AO self ban himself?  What's the backstory?

It's an ongoing saga that has its beginnings sometime in 2011, maybe 2012.

Angel Oracle began placing a wager on the game, usually early on when the team was losing by a few runs and things didn't look good. He'd say something like "1 week self ban if by some MIRACLE the Halos win tonight!!! #$!@ you Blanton! @#@! you Butcher!!!!". This pretty much always resulted in an Angels loss, so he was pretty safe doing it. It happened quite a bit last year, and it basically became a kiss of death. Once AO threatened a self ban, the game was over. No use watching it.

Then, something magical happened. Earlier this year, AO did his usual thing, but he played his hand too aggressively. He threatened a week ban in the 2nd inning. The Angels would come back and win the game of course, and AO held true to his word. After his time was up, he started popping up every now and again, and a few weeks ago he did the same thing. He threatened a 2 week ban this time. He was SO sure the Angels were going to lose, there was no WAY he would have to ban himself for that long. Well, things didn't quite work out for our friend, AO, and the Angels made another strong comeback. AO was devastated. How could he go 2 weeks without posting here???

Then it hit him like a bolt of lightning! He said to himself "hey, I can just double or nothing! If the Angels lose, I come back, if they win by some MIRACLE, my ban extends to 4 weeks. What could possibly go wrong?"

*hilarity ensues*

And here we are. The Angels keep coming from behind and winning, and AO is facing down a 132 day self ban. That's the rest of the season and then some.

He is absolutely not allowed back. I don't believe in the mojo baloney that drives this, but if he's going to put on such a show he had better follow through.

I will ban his IP if he breaks his word.

Keep the MOJO going. Let him continue the double of nothing. We keep winning when he does it.

We should send him to Brazil to give the pre-game pep speech to the Brazilian soccer team prior to their game Saturday.

Oh, would it not be funny if AO took either Rally Munkee's or Lifetimes screen name for his comeback.

R Lifetime Oracle . . . I like it.
