No, before this news broke, he wasn't expected to take part in the ASG and they already had a replacement for him.

edit: Here's the answer (I thought someone else was going to replace Tankana and Uehara would replace someone else).

Hearing Terry say that Uehara made the team instead of Richards was hilarious. He wasn't happy

Considering that after the starter leaves in the All Star game, the rest of the pitchers are used like one inning relievers I don't blame Farrell for picking a closer over a 7 inning starter.

Considering the Red Sox are one of the worst teams in the majors and they have two pitchers in the game and meanwhile the team with the 2nd best record gets on representative. ....hell yes i can blame him.

He's out for six to eight weeks. If he doesnt feel better, than he'll have to have TJ and miss 12-18 months.
