saunders seemed like a nice enough dude until he started making negative comments to the press about the lack of run support he was getting from all of the kids in the m's lineup. i could understand his frustration, but there was no reason to speak it out loud to the press.

i like the royals and hope he is successful there, though.

yeah, no justification for it really, but as a fan of the M's you can relate to the frustration of that period. the players are human after all, but you'd hope for better.

I figured Saunders would get a minor league deal --- and it's a pretty good flyer -- sort of surprised it's KC -- they have a good pen and some good young arms -- but everything helps.

 

the question is, will KC call him up August 31 to make him playoff eligible (Yes, KC is in the W/C hunt and also 4 games back in the AL Central) or just as a September stretch guy.

 

Good move -- no harm. no foul, can't lose much if anything......if he doesn't perform well...........oh well.
