I thought a few things he said were interesting.

 

One was the comment that Grilli and Ernesto were struggling for different reasons.  And then he mentioned Grilli having multiple pitches that he could throw for strikes.  

 

Also, the idea of Salas as the 12th man but also the notion of him doing well when he has a clean inning to work with.

Yeah, that's what stood out most in that interview. He basically said it(without outright saying) that they have had enough of Frieri and his 1 pitch arsenal.

 

Good to hear that he's also still looking for another bullpen arm. If they have a chance to land a solid starter, I wouldn't mind that, but it shouldn't be a huge priority as of now

He said that Grilli was willing to throw strikes, with a little emphasis on 'was', which means that Frieri was afraid to throw strikes?
