Move over Tex trade....

The Astros need to send Amaro a fruit basket or something...

"Santana is the big draw, as the 21-year-old outfielder hit .304 with 13 homers and an .885 OPS in 84 games at Triple-A after putting up similarly strong numbers at Double-A last season. He now joins Jon Singleton, Jarred Cosart, and Josh Zeid on the Astros’ roster after all four players were acquired from the Phillies as prospects in the Hunter Pence trade in 2011. That is starting to look like one of the more lopsided deals in recent history."

Someone you gotta believe Tony Reagins is thinking..  "at least I'm not that guy".

Less than two months after they picked George Springer from the University of Connecticut, the Astros sent Pence and cash to the Phillies on July 29, 2011, for Cosart, Singleton, Zeid and a player to be named, which ended up being Santana. In spring training, a Phillies official admitted that Santana wasn’t actually supposed to be on the list that was given to the Astros to pick from to satisfy the final piece on Aug. 15, 2011.

Amaro has since denied that that's true, but holy shit I realllllllly want that to be true. The idea that the Phillies accidently traded Santana is just too hilarious.

Kotchman and Marek does not equal hosed.

The only trade that the Angels got really hosed on in recent memory was The Trade That Shall Not Be Mentioned.

Skaggs, Corbin and Saunders for Dan Haren trade was pretty bad.

FTR, I wasn't referencing our trade for Teixeira, but rather "THE" Teixeira deal.... the one that got him to Atlanta and got people talking about Jon Daniels being a genius.

Teixeira for Elvis Andrus, Matt Hamilton, Jarrod Saltalamacchia, and Neftali Feliz..

I miss the point where any of these guys, besides that pitcher with a 3.95 ERA, has contributed anything to the MLB club.

At this point they could still all flop and the trade be worthless to the 'Stros

Everybody loves Mike Napoli. "Boston fans decide who they're rather have a beer with, Tom Brady or Mike Napoli? The results were somewhat staggering. The bearded first baseman who had been in Boston for less than a year and hadn't even gone on his shirtless drunk escapade, beat out the three-time Super Bowl champion. Again"
