Schedule up to the All Star Game

Yesterday the Angels started a span of 20 games in 20 days leading up to the AS game. With the way the A's are playing I will be just focusing on what the Angels do. We are currently 9 games over .500 and on pace for 91 wins. These next 19 games could very realistically catapult us to a very nice record heading to the break. Here is how it plays out"

Twins at home for 2 more

@ KC for 3

@White Sox for 3

Astros for 4

Blue Jays for 3

@Rangers for 4

So we play two good teams, the Royals and Blue Jays, and four teams where as long as we don't play down to the level of our competition (which we do a lot) we could head into the break in really good shape.

CJ Wilson played down to the level of the competition last night. We can't have that if we're going to be a championship team. Up 5-0 in the first inning, we needed to bury the Twins. Trout helped us in the 2nd, but really, it was anyone's game until the 8th inning.

 

Where's the focus and the drive on this team? I don't see it very often.

Definitely a good stretch here that the team needs to take advantage of. Get to 10+ games over.500 by the end of it

13 of the games are against Min., Chi., Hou., and Tex.  We "should" be taking the series from all of these teams, perhaps going 9-4 and split the games against Tor. and KC.

12 or 13 wins or it's a bust.

We've won five in a row. I guess that's what teams with no focus or drive do.
