The Angels released veteran designated hitter Raul Ibanez on Saturday. Ibanez signed a one-year, $2.75 million contract this offseason that included another $2.25 million in incentives. He was coming off a solid year in Seattle, in which he hit .242/.306/.487 with 29 homers and 65 RBIs. But Ibanez couldn't get on track at the plate this season with the Angels.
