He's actually not a bad dude if you to ever meet him. One of my good friends partied with him while he was home after a deployment (he's from Texas and one of his high school friends is an OL at A&M) and said Manziel was one of the nicest guys ever.

I think the media can make anybody look like a douche, or a great guy, and it's just going to be whatever can make the most news. His antics on the field are a sign of competitiveness, and while juvenile, don't automatically make him a douche. It's like calling Bryce Harper a douche, it's the popular thing to do, so most people agree with it.

I like how he sat in the green room for over 2 hours before being drafted and instead of being humble and walking out on stage when he finally got picked, he walked out and the first thing he did was his money sign with his hands.  Every time there is a camera put in front of him he does it.  I'm sure it'll be a staple of his game as well and we'll have to see it every time he throws a touchdown.

 

I don't think the media is making him look like a douche.  He's doing fine on his own.

Report: Browns owner Haslam wants Johnny Manziel to 'tone it down'

 

According to ESPN's Chris Mortensen, Haslam wasn't thrilled with Johnny Football's conversation into an imaginary cell phone made of cash. In an Instagram video from June 15, you can hear Manziel say, "I can't hear you. I have too much money in my F------ hand."

Good luck watching your back the entire season. He has just put not only himself, but his teammates in danger. Teams will go the extra mile to shut him up. Cleveland better get a grasp on this kid or it will get very ugly.
