I always thought Machado was one of the most overrated guys in baseball.

He had one great season defensively and a below average season offensively, yet people were grouping him with Trout and other young stars.

 

I wouldn't be surprised to see him in the minors working on his swing, although it is probably unlikely.

 

It's one thing for a vet who has established himself to start acting like a douche, but machado hasn't done shit outside of one season of great defense.

I really don't see the difference between over-hyped and overrated.

 

I remember we had a top 5 players thread going a few months back and Machado was listed in many of the poster's lists.
