I have an old fraternity brother (hell, I'm old also) up in NoCal and a big A's fan.  I couldn't resist and sent Adam's hilarious piece to him. He came unstuck!

 

And then after the disaster in that hell hole in Oakland, I was the recipient of numerous responses about high paid teams (the Angels) and the brilliance of Billy B.

 

I even got a lecture on Money Ball, including a dissertation about it - with a link to it to read.

 

It was just too damned funny.  Thanks again, Adam. 

 

It reminded me of the good old days in the Ghetto Forum (YK's term).
