Grube is bad so whatever, but why can't this team just cut it's ****ing losses with Ibanez.

Come on, man. You know we're gonna go to the trading deadline with him still on the team.

Scioscia and Dipoto are the only two people who see Ibanez as an effective option at DH moving forward. It's scary to think about. Those are the two guys in charge of the club...

I like Dipoto's overall philosophy but there are some clear red flags surrounding him. It's nothing knew with Scioscia though. We've known about his infatuation for veterans for years. Finley, Hillenbrand, Abreu, Alfonzo, GMJR, Jeff Weaver, and Mathis all bring back painful memories. Ibanez is no different. Jeff Weaver kept Jered Weaver (who was dominant as a rookie) in AAA for no reason at all. Ibanez will likely do the same for Green/Cron at some point. And there's one common denominator in all this veteran favoritism - Scioscia

Everyday lineup pleaseeeeee

RF Calhoun

CF Trout

1B Pujols

LF Hamilton

DH Cron

2B Kendrick

3B Freese

SS Aybar

C Iannetta

This will be the daily lineup once ever 10 days, or when Scioscia is not the guy making up daily the lineups.

Actually a new (cognizant) manager may even put Pujols further down the lineup, like 4th or 5th.  If Trout ain't gonna bat 1st, I prefer him to bat 3rd.

Calhoun

Aybar

Trout

Hamilton

Pujols

Cron

Freese

Kendrick

Conger

Because they still owe him $1.78 million and the inks still not dry.

He actually gets more money for every 125 plate appearances as a pay incentive, so keeping him on is not just costing the team games but money as well

You know if they DFA him, Beane will pick him up after he clears waivers and he'll have an OPS of about .900 fitting in nicely the the 5th spot of the A's lineup against RHP including a few late inning bombs against us.

I'm with you, though I'd like to see Green get some regular playing time too.
