I think he still has some time Hollyw00d but he needs to improve his hitting for sure. His defense is above average and his arm is strong. Needs to develop the offensive side of the package in the next year or so or else he may find himself on the bubble.

His road splits are much more in line with what I think he is capable of. Dickey Stephens is a shithole for hitters.

 

Honestly, I'd be interested in seeing what he can do at AAA. If he isn't able to put up good numbers there then obviously it might be time to re-evaluate what to do with him. That said, he's still young. He turns 22 on Monday.

Even away from Dickey Stephens he's only hitting .241/.276/.417

 

He's definitely still young though, so he should still have some time left to turn it around.

 

I do wonder if how much longer he has is lessened by the fact that he was a legit prospect as a pitcher too. Considering by converting him back to a pitcher at this point you're gonna have to get the rust off and then work through THOSE developmental years, I'm not sure he gets quite as long to work it out this way as if he was just a guy who was only a 3B.

He's 22 in June. It would be foolish to give up on him as hitter at this point. Looking back, he probably should have played a full season in A+.
