Kudos to Dipoto

Plus he's a super nice guy. After last Sunday's game we saw him on the concourse, and he stopped and talked to my boys, listened to a couple stories from them about their little league season, shook their hands and said that maybe someday he'd sign them to the Angels. Made their day!

That's awesome. Loving hearing stories like that.

I'd still like to add a bullpen piece and/or starting pitcher though, but I tip the cap to Dipoto.

Thats the kind of stuff that just doesnt happen enough and he deserves way more credit for...   Thanks for sharing the story.

Nice OP, enjoyed the read.  Last year I was very skeptical of JD, but he's really turned things around with this year's team and staff/pen with shrewd moves.  Impressed with this team so far, and when you consider how good Hamilton was playing this team could be really special.

Last time I recall Hamilton looking like he did pre-injury was when he was in Tejas, I believe that was his last MVP season as well.  If the Angels can get that production from him on top of the other pieces, well, wow.  That would be fun to watch.

Love this team. The pitching is solid and the depth is incredible. Hated seeing Efren Navarro go down so Ibanez can continue to suck. Navarro went 3-3 with a walk and HR tonight in his first game back in AAA.

This team is awesome. Even in a loss like tonight, they battled through 13 innings and were 1 lousy single away from winning the game several times.

I think we can all agree that this team can win 88+ games this year, barring some huge catastrophe. I'm looking forward to seeing this team play meaningful baseball late in September.
