In a one game playoff who would you rather start for the Angels?

I am bored at work today so let's play some hypothetical game.

I know the season is still long and not even close to being half over but who would you rather start in the one game playoff scenerio?

Weaver - Most experience in big games and has bounced back nicely after a rough start

CJ Wilson - The most consistent starting pitcher this year and has a very solid track record but still not an ace.

G Richards - Has the best chance to flat out shut a team out but also the highest chance to have a blowup outing.

 

I say start Weaver if it's a home game and CJ on a road game.

At this point in the season, Weaver.  He is our big game pitcher.

 

CJ is a more than adequate replacement.

 

GR has been awesome this season but I would always rather have a vet in a big game.

But my serious answer is Richards. He's impressed me the most this year, minus his last start. He's got the nasty breaking pitch and a good hard fastball. I think he would be our best option. Weaver/Wilson tied for 2.

I say start Weaver if it's a home game and CJ on a road game.

 

Weaver for a home game and Richards for a road game, IMO. CJ means a higher chance of having to go to the BP early, which I would want to stay away from.

It's Weaver, no matter who the game is against, whether it is in Anaheim or on the road in any other city. Wouldn't matter if the game was played overseas or on the moon.

Glad to see we've already reached the point in the season for outlandish hypotheticals.

Hope everyone picking Weaver doesn't complain about Scioscia sticking with veterans for too long and not giving young guys the chance they deserve.

But, to play along...I'd say Richards.

When GR is "on" nobody can hit his stuff.

Skaggs might just wind up with the most wins on this staff come playoff time..

But I would still go with GR for his amazing stuff.

Save Weave for a rested start game 1 of the DS.

Depends on who the team is facing. If it's the Yankees I'd go with Wilson.

In Anaheim or Detroit, Jered Weaver. In New York or Oakland, CJ Wilson. Other parks, Garret Richards.

I think I'd go for Skaggs and let Weaver, Wilson, and Richards (in some order) match up with the other team's #2, #3, and #4.

Richards. He's the best we have in my opinion. But my feelings wouldn't be hurt if it were Weav or Wilson. We have a pretty nice 3-man playoff setup.
