Funny how one game can change the perception of how the Angels are doing. Win today and take three of four from the Rays and the team is on the upswing. Lose today and split and the team is no better.

Regardless, this is as close to a contending team the Angels have had in the past few years.

and with Hamilton on DH.

Pujols 0-7 lifetime vs Price.

This is about as good as it gets right now. This would be close to the line up that Scioscia would use on a Sunday day facing Price even if Calhoun and Hamilton were here and healthy.

Hamilton is hitting .350 lifetime vs Price. Pujols is 0-7

i really dont get aybar hitting 6th instead of green.

Aybar vs LHP:  .220 avg,  .567 ops  in 41 ab's

Green vs LHP:  .438 avg, .912 ops  in 16 ab's

aybar's hitting .217 with risp.

Aybar is hitting .300 with a .405 obp. That's why.

Oh, Green vs LHP Starter in his career is .210. Yet that too is an extremely small sample size (let alone his BA this year).

I don't normally make noise over lineups -- but batting HK cleanup today is questionable.  In 24 at bats vs. Price he's Ked 9 times.   Price absolutely OWNS Howie.
