I laugh every time I see his name. His movies look like absolute shit but he is the highest grossing person in Hollywood, according to Forbes.

It pays pretty well when you own all the rights to everything you do and run the production...if memory serves correct.

The trailer played for this when I saw both Stoker and Spring Breakers...it looks horrible. Plot and acting feels like a Lifetime movie or a straight to DVD film.

I thought it was great. Style over substance, but it's style was awesome. Better than I anticipated from it after not being too sure about the previews.

His audience is African American and that is pretty much it and he is extremely successful with that audience.  This movie pulled in 21.6 million its opening weekend.

I think you guys are missing the point to his movies. He's actually making fun of the African-American race. The role where he plays Madea, he's acting like a stereotypical black female. A lot of black people don't like his movies because of how he portrays them. 

 

That said, I think his Madea movies are hilarious.
