For now, he is being held at MCI Cedar Junction, a prison about a mile away from the stadium where he once played for the Patriots.

Hernandez will now earn 50 cents an hour making license plates as part of a work program at Cedar Junction, according to The Boston Globe.

As for the payout from the $40 million NFL contract that Hernandez once had? He was cut from the team as soon as he was arrested in connection to the Lloyd murder and $5 million in his assets are now frozen.

I'm more impressed with how bad the defense was.

No weapon, no cooperative witness, no way to pin him at the scene and yet the defense does it for them.

The police already had evidence placing him there, so his lawyers shot the moon and said that he was there, but he only witnessed the murder rather than participating in it.

and on top of this, he has another trial starting next month about a drive-by shooting (iirc).

man, what a fall. was there no one in his life to guide him away from all the crap?

His father, whom he revered, died unexpectedly from surgery complications when Hernandez was 16, and he went downhill after that. Started hanging out with gang members and the rest is history.

Without going into detail, Tim Tebow told Shannon Sharpe that he spent a lot of time keeping Hernandez out of trouble while they were at the University of Florida.
