the reason that's relevant is that Hank's kind of become the Ceej's personal catcher lately. Hank's hit lefties OK this year and I don't think he's ever faced Buerhle. Not 100% sure on that last part. Still though... I'm 100% sure you're correct.

He seems like hes really improved his defense, and while I expect his bat to dip some, he can hold his own.

He seems like hes 'good karma'. Likeable guy. I think as he gets more time under his belt, and can relax a bit (around his bosses), he'll start becoming one of those role player type guys that the rest of the team praises.

Conger was interviewed on Intentional Talk today. There is a history of the player having a great game immediately following the interview. Sosh missed a huge opportunity. PS, the interview was awesome. Hank had me rolling.

I'm so happy for Conger's growth as a player. He still has more to grow but this kid has good work ethics. I hope the Angels lock him up soon.

I watched him in LIttle League as a young kid for many years.

Nice timing on this thread.   Before Sunday's game, he was hitting .277/.320/.468.   More than acceptable, but a small sample size exploited after the best game of his career.  His OPS jumped 146 points.   Chris Iannetta is no slouch at the plate.  Enjoy what the Angels are getting, offensively, from their catchers.

The Ceej had a bad game yesterday with Iannetta catching him. Pretty sure you'll see Conger catch him from now on.
