mc carver was great on WOR in 1986 doing the mets with ralph kiner and steve zabriski. he seemed really labored when paired with joe buck. have to admit, mccarver has a wealth of baseball knowledge.

He's done announcing for Fox after this season. I'm not exactly distraught over this news.

 

The master of stating the obvious. Nice guy, but the list of people I had rather hear announce ballgames is long.

Guaranteed that Fox will replace him with somebody even more incompetent and obnoxious....gotta love Fox's ability to achieve what might otherwise seem impossible.  

One of the few faults in the game today, is Fox. Not the only one, but right up there at the top.
