Mike Trout hit a two-out triple then scored on an Albert Pujols clutch single in the bottom of the eighth to tie a close game. But Yankees second baseman Brian Roberts drilled the first pitch he saw from closer Ernesto Frieri in the ninth for what would become a game winning home run. Angels starter C.J. Wilson pitched a strong eight innings, allowing three runs on seven hits.
