Josh Hamilton & DDLR Updates

DDLR: Dane De La Rosa (shoulder) threw a scoreless rehab inning Sunday at Triple-A Salt Lake.

De La Rosa walked a batter but was able to work around the threat. He'll probably make two more rehab appearances before rejoining the Angels' bullpen. The right-hander has been out since mid-April with a shoulder issue.

 

Hamilton: Josh Hamilton (thumb) is expected to begin taking live batting practice Friday in Arizona.

Hamilton needed surgery in mid-April for a torn ulnar collateral ligament in his left thumb and is likely to miss another 3-4 weeks. He is currently rehabbing at the Angels' spring training complex in Tempe.

Great news. If Hamilton is really going to start swinging a bat this Friday, I have to believe a 3-4 week timetable is realistic.
