Our current batting leaders...

More importantly, OBP leaders: Cowgill (.411) - Trout (.396) - Kendrick (.391) - Iannetta (.375)

Slugging Pct. leaders: Pujols (.580) - Trout (.564) - Cowgill (.510)

Back to Collin Cowgill, how's this for a slash line to go along with his good outfield defense. .327/.411/.510

Do you think Cowgill is sent down when Calhoun and Hamilton return? I'd really hate for that to happen but who else would they send down? We have Ibanez, Stewart and McDonald assuming Jimenez is sent down again once Freese is activated from the DL.

I doubt it.   I think the primary reason Cowgill made the team out of spring training over Shuck is because he's really the only guy that can play CF besides Trout.   Stewart and Ibanez are probably the ones playing to save themselves in the next couple weeks before Hamilton and Calhoun return.

And just think: Trout hasn't really gotten going yet. In his last two years he started slowish for about a month and then caught fire.

Cowgill's been great but let's not be disappointed when his numbers drop. No way he sustains this production forever. Maybe .270+/.750? That would be solid for a 4th outfielder.
