Nah, I understand..  people need to beat dead horses and cast blame..  that's fine..    The Kazmir situation was a pretty obvious one... but you go ahead and put together a think-tank to discuss what went wrong if you need to.

 

The only discussion that ever needed to be had about Kazmir is why they traded for damaged goods.

It would be nice if we could ever find a starting pitcher who rediscovers/discovers himself here.

We've found position players like Figgins who fit that bill.

We've found relievers who have fit that bill, like Weber, Donkey, and DDLR.

Aren't comments like these the athlete equivalent to "my wife is the most beautiful woman in the world" though?   I mean, it's probably not good for a guy's career if when asked about his current coach he's like "Butch?  dude sucks."

To elaborate, I never asked Skaggs about Butcher. Was just asking about the improvement he's made since the start of spring training and he launched into this long answer about how much he likes Butcher.

This really pisses me the hell off, both Kazmir & Colon(the past few seasons).

 

Colon - paid alot of money by the Angels in his prime to perform good, outside of 2005 regular season he sucked majorly & 2004 he pitched like a #5.

Kazmir - Pitched so so for the Angels in 2009 until the playoffs then fell apart & sucked majorly after that.

 

What freaking hell that these guys suddenly turn it around with Oakland who can only afford to sign them to the MLB equilivant of "Value Menu" contracts.

Pisses me off they suddenly remember how to play when they are being paid a fraction of what the Angels paid them.
