Ha...well THAT explains it, then..................

Scioscia said Boesch was picked over Long because Boesch has been swinging the bat well the past week. #Angels

"Hmmm, this guy has 403 games in the majors, exactly 1 even somewhat good season, and has flamed out since then, but he hit the ball well for 7 games against AAA pitchers. The piece!"

yeah.  his .787ops and 20 K's in 52pa is really a sight to behold.

I guess MS only applies that logic to minor league players.

When Boesch gets used he becomes the 31st different player to be used this year, and it's only April 16th.  An average year is 45 different players, so get ready, at least 14 more newbies to go.  And every year this board gets all worked up over the first 25 selected players to be chosen out of spring training.  Unless you have at least 45 decent guys who can contribute, you are going nowhere.

we have 11.  each bullpen guy counts as -3.  If you are not sure about my math, round down.

See?  Proof the Angels are willing to go with the hot hand.*

* Provided the hot hand is a veteran with several years of mediocrity behind him.  Certainly not the guy who hit .400 for an entire month of spring training.  Definitely not that guy.

We are going nowhere.

We are currently in "No Where."  Might make a good outfield sign.  Maybe we will find a worm hole and end up in an alternate universe, hopefully one that doesn't have an Oakland or Seattle team.

By the way, according to baseball reference, this is Brennan Boesch's line from the last 7 days:

.190/.261/.333 in 23 PAs. 12 Ks in that time.

He's due.  Or look at it this way, if the grounds crew doesn't get their act together he's expendable.
