I've been an Angel fan for far too long to not know that Baylor's injury on the first pitch -- THE FIRST F'ING PITCH!!!! -- was a bad omen for the season.

 

People scoffed and laughed at me when I told them the season was over at that moment.  And really, I wasn't being negative.  I was considering the entirety of the Angel fan experience.

My brother texted me from the Bay Area immediately with "Season Over".

All of these years I thought that we were named after "Good Angels", you know, the ones from up above.  I think that I may have finally figured it out. I guess we really named after the "Fallen Angels".  That explains all the bad luck, bad karma and Jinxes.  I just cant figure out how we were able to overcome it in 2002.  Unless someone made a deal with someone, if ya know what I mean.
