From what i've heard, Morin has excellent control so I could see him having immediate success  in the Majors.  But he did look like a deer in headlights this spring.

I've never seen Alvarez throw.  Does he have decent control?  I know Michael Kohn did something similar in the minors because he throws hard and has a good slider.  But when he came up he couldn't locate and got shelled.

Doc, Alvarez's control is pretty rough.

Career 4.5 BB/9, 5.0 mark last year. I've personally seen him look absolutely dominant at times and like Fernando Rodney/Bad Ernesto others.

He certainly has the best stuff and probably highest upside of the group, but he also seems like he has the highest chance of occasionally falling victim to the can'tthrowstrikestosavehislifeitis disease that too many Angels relievers have caught.

This is gonna be a fun thread next time Jepsen, Kohn or Salas shits the bed.

Which could be as soon as tonight.

That said, I'm a bit higher on Kohn than others. His changeup/slider has looked better of late. Compliments his 95-96 MPH fastball.

I'm not concerned with Alvarez control. I mean, even when his slider is not on (Which is rare) he can get by with his 97-98 MPH fastball that has movement.

But damn, when his slider is on, it's K-Rod type good.

Morin has incredible control. Don't worry about his one appearance in ST, Doc. It was one start and his first of many to come.

Yeah, Im not as down on Kohn as others simply because he hasn't had the opportunities Jeppy has had.  At the same time, I don't trust him in high leverage situations.

u gotta risk it when the alternative is salas or frieri.

Let's not obsess on one blown save. They happen. Frieri has a good track record and is not the problem here.

Jepsen IMO shouldn't  be used ever..and Salas has zero movement on any of his pitches.

These two are the biggest concern, and need to be replaced with anyone that might have a chance to do better.

I just don't see either of them suddenly improving. If anything, they will get worse..if that is possible.
