Pitchers are just throwing heaters right by Freese. No fear, no worry about his bat at all. He's showing he can't catch up to them nor can he lay off of the high ones

Supports what I've seen. Seriously hvae only seen him hit the ball hard 3 times this year. Everything else is a weakly hit grounder, popup or a strikeout.

Yep, and since that HR in Seattle(his only XBH so far), he's gone 1 for 16. 2 BB, 7 Ks

 

Considering how bad he started that first series looking, it's pretty incredible that he very possibly looks even worse now.

Taking that on and adding Choo wasn't really good for Texas IMO

I would be willing to be a substantial amount of money that if Stewart is given significant playing time, he'll find a way to massively disappoint.

I can bet you that he won't slug .103 against righties. My dog is an upgrade over Freese against righties.

Yeah I'm with you.  He was given the full time gig in Colorado and had one of the worst season's ever.  History doesn't indicate that he'd fare well...but I'd say another month of Freese doing this and you have to make the change.

I don't think anyone is expecting him to be an all-star but surely he could do better than what Freese has shown so far.
