there aren't many pitchers that make major league hitters walk away shaking their head.  he's one of them.  it's why I've always been a believer.  Still a slave to his mechanics, but it's coming.

Its just houston and seattle, but yeah, hes looked great. Everyone has said it for a while, hes got the best stuff on the staff. If he has his breakout this year and is simply a real #3, thats huge for us.

Add skaggs as a real 3/4, and our staff isnt as horrible as we think. But lets not get too ahead of ourselves.

At any rate, its good to have a young, cheap rotation with upside

Seattle has crushed pretty much every other Angel pitcher this season.  So id say its pretty encouraging Richards shuts them down.

He has ace type stuff but he doesn't have the command to be an ace. He's definitely got a shot at being a good #2-3 and hopefully this is the start of him finally putting things together. Tonight was very good

It seems that fans believe Richards lacks the command to become an ace. They're right, right now. Who says Garrett won't have it later with more experience and confidence? I hardly think he's done learning at age 25/26.

That much movement with that velocity is a rare combo. Call him whatever you want, he can be dominant on any given day.
