Pedroia PLayed with it on his non throwing hand last year... My guess, Hamilton wll be out just long enough to feel comfortable hitting and serve as DH most of the time. 4-6 weeks tops...

you're dreaming man.

This team can't replace Hamilton's bat so unless the WHOLE pitching staff is absolute nails, the Angels won't even have a winning record.  If Josh heals like he should and on time, he will be back with a little over a month before the trade deadline.  I say if the Angels are like 7 or 8 games out, they trade away Aybar and Kendrick etc and get young and go for a high draft pick next year.  Losing JH for 2 months is huge.

Did we say we would trade away Aybar and Kendrick last year.  And we traded Callaspo.  This is like groundhog day.

The team was pretty good offensively last season with Hamilton being virtually non-existent from the plate. This is terrible news, but I won't throw in the towel just yet.

Yup.  Although we need a Pujols bounce back more than ever now.  He's going to feel some serious wrath from Angel fans if he doesn't step up now.

Agreed.  People generally overrate the importance/impact of one player.  Lots of teams miss key guys for 6-8 weeks and still do damage. Granted, the Angels seem a bit less equipped to handle it than others, but there's plenty of talent on the roster.

This team was not built to lose Hamilton for 2 months though.  Sure, Cron could come in and be Trumbo and Sant and Skaggs and Richards could pitch 2-3 eras and Pujols could hit .330 with 40hr but that is extremely unlikely to happen.  We needed a strong, winning April and now this happens.  It's very bad news.
