Yes, very much yes.  Kemp is making 21 million a year across the next 6 and is 29 years old.  Albert is making an average of 27 million a year across the next 8 years and is 34, though I think its highly likely he's probably 36.  Regardless, even if he has a good year this year, he may have another 2-3 left at the most where he's a feared middle of the order hitter.  

 

Kemp, I think he and Albert probably stay on the field about the same amount over the next 6 seasons, but the difference being Kemp's probably got 4-5 really good ones left.  Kemp's also owed 90 million less.

Of course I'd do this in a heartbeat. Pujols deal is now 2nd worst in baseball only behind the Miggy extension

 

Kemp is like 5 yrs younger and owed less money. It would be a miracle if the Halos were actually able to dump the Pujols contract in its entirety. Never happening though and we all knew that the moment it was signed.

i would trade pujols for anybody right now, this minute. the hamilton contract isn't nearly as destructive as pujols'. hamilton may never be worth it, which is debatable, but after this year he'll only have 3 years remaining.

yep. Kemp is cheaper but not cheap.

Ill take the odds of pujols rebounding over kemp, personally. Kemp has a ton of talent, but aside from one year has never been 'great', but either good or very good. (With one really bad year).

Not to sound like a hater, but the dogs were gambling when they inked him after that one monster year (considering his splits prior to it).
