SLC - up 8-3 going to the 9th.  Shuck went deep.  Green with 3 hits. 

 

Arkansas - have 20 runs on 21 hits in the 8th

Cowart 4-5 with a hr, 2b and 5 rbi.  Lots of other good performances.

Sapp only lasted 3 and got hit pretty good.

 

IE up 7-0 in the 4th.  Rondon 1-1, 2 bb, sb

 

Burlington - winner 5-1.  First official win for the franchise in 2014.

Fish 3-5, 2 2b, 2rbi

Clint Sharp 4ip, 1er, 3k.

I'm really hoping Kaleb Cowart turns things around and re-establishes himself. Looking forward to him, Rondon, and Lindsey breaking into the lineup - and hopefully Delgado in a few years.

 

 

He ended up 5 for 6, HR, 2B, drove in 5.  Borenstein grabbed a couple hits too, so it seems he may be over his calf strain.

Been following the prospects since I was very young, going back to the early 80's.

 

One of the silver linings during the rough 90's was following the prospects from Baseball America magazines and I believe it was USA Today/Sports Weekly paper that came out every week.
