House of Cards on Netflix

Anyone else watching/seen this TV series political drama? It stars Kevin Spacey as a Congressman and majority whip of the Dems. It's incredible. It also makes politicians look like cheating, power-hungry, amoral, manipulative a-holes (and those are just the Democrats). Sometimes Spacey's character breaks the fourth wall and says what he's thinking to the audience, which takes a couple episodes to get used to.

 

The first season of 13 episodes is on Netflix exclusively. You should definitely check it out if you're looking for a solid TV series to watch, especially if you're a politics nut.

There's also a big journalistic angle if you're into that. The show reminds me of Season 4-5 of The Wire.

Sounds like I'd enjoy it but I have Game of Thrones season 2 waiting for whenever I get time to watch, as well as everything on my DVR.  Not sure when I'd get around to this.

It is an AMAZING show, loved every episode of it. Kevin Spacey is such an underrated actor IMO and he plays Frances Underwood beautifully.

We couldn't stop watching here and watched the season in a weekend.

Yep, I finished the season in less than a week. Apparently Season 2 is already in production... awesome.
