no that's my point. I'm saying as long as he's our #2 starter in our rotation this team will be golfing by October 1st every year.

 

The only way this team succeeds is if the starting pitchers go deep into games, to save us from the bullpen.  Send CJ another copy of that memo.

It really is amazing how quickly and drastically Albert fell off. You'd figure with his approach at the plate(during his prime), he'd be able to still be a great hitter in his twilight years. This is a guy who hit nearly more HR's than he struck out every season, and routinely walked over 100 times. Now, he has trouble recognizing offspeed stuff and lunges at balls in the dirt and pulls outside pitches for weak grounders to 3B/SS. He still does a good job of making contact and doesn't K a lot, but the BB's have gone down dramatically and he is swinging more and more at stuff out of the zone

It's odd because those are often referred to as "old player skills" which almost makes it seem mental.
