Gameday & Lineup 3/19 vs. White Sox

Love that lineup, and I'm still giddy about Skaggs. I'd rather see Conger in the lineup, though.

I lean that way too, re: Conger in over Iannetta, but Chris has been seeing the ball really well after his eye surgery in the offseason. Let's give him a shot to get the majority of the at bats early on to see if it truly made a difference and improved his hitting.

One thing you gotta love about Iannetta is that he gets on base.

Having a "set" lineup like this, especially this early, is so incongruous with anything Scioscia has done.

Did this come down from above? Organizational change? It is a welcome change, however it happened

It gives me real hope for this start to the season.

Listen to our podcast for the answer -- from Alden Gonzalez.

Is this your best effort at a Mota-ism?

Ya know, I've done a total 180 on Mota.  I used to not pay much attention to him, but once you get past his gaffes (which are decreasing) he's generally spot-on with what he's saying and quite insightful.  Not toeing the company line here, I've just discovered that I genuinely enjoy listening to him.  He is to Angels baseball what Joe Rogan is to UFC, and I mean that as a complement.

I wonder if that eye surgery will, at all, improve his defense. He's been pretty awful as a catcher.

Well this sucks! The game isnt on Fox Sports West. BOOOOOOOOOOO. MLB Network blackout Angel games in Vegas. BLOWS!

That sucks that more than 13 years after I left Vegas that they still do not carry Angels games and are blacked out for these types of situations.
