Ive been building some homemade workout equipment recently, a squat rack, duct taped the hell out of a sandbag, making a running sled today
but its time to take it to the next level!

Need to make an american gladiators style Joust platform(s) in the shallow end of my pool

below is my pool with a poorly drawn mockup
What materials should be used, and should there be something to anchor it to the floor?  the pool also has a slope going into the deep end

I think this is just his way of letting us know that he has a pool. Next thing you know, he'll be sharing his designs for attaching a machine gun to his Porsche.

With just a quick look from my phone and some estimating the size of your pool based on other objects in your yard, it looks like your pool is about 12 feet wide.

It also looks like the platforms are each about 4 feet in diameter. There also seems to be about 18 inches between the platforms.

So with that, looks like you will have about a foot and a half behind each platform before you hit concrete.

Yup, works for me.
